Crunching The Numbers: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 at Chicagoland Speedway

The Chase in upon us! In 10 short weeks, we will crown a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion. Will it be a repeat for Kyle Busch? Will the sentimental favorite Tony Stewart be there at Homestead with a shot at one last title? With fan favorite and “dark horse” Martin Truex Jr. show strong and capture the title? Can we see a rookie or first time winner? All things are possible for the Chase, but firstly, they must get through Chicagoland Speedway, Loudon, and Dover. Let’s see how Chicagoland Speedway stacks up and what the fate is of the 16 Chasers.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 Predictions & Analysis

Last year, Denny Hamlin kept his Chase hopes alive by stealing away a victory from Kyle Busch, who lead the race high with 121 laps. The year before, Brad Keselowski grabbed victory, leading the second most laps to (also Chaser) Kevin Harvick; Keselowski also won this race in 2012. If the pattern holds, Keselowski should leave Chicagoland Speedway with another victory and knowing he is moving on to the next round.

2016 Chase Drivers’ Stats

Some driers have historically great runs, some do not, and some have yet to run here. Chicagoland will set the tone for the Chase in terms of how has a shot to advance, who will see their title hopes fade quickly, and we will also see if any rivalries will come back. Have a great day and you put yourself in good position for Loudon and Dover. However, if you have a bad day, you will find yourself truly fighting for victory over the next two weeks.
