Charlotte Motor Speedway Predictions & Analysis

Last Year, Joey Logano came out swinging at Charlotte. He won all 3 races in round 2, but he also made an enemy along the way. This year, Logano has been fairly quiet on the winning front, so you can bet he is hoping to getting back to his winning ways again.

2016 Chase Drivers’ Stats

Sadly, the Chase hopes for retiring Tony Stewart, surprise Chase contender Chris Buescher, and teammates Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson came to an end after Dover. The Chip Ganassi Racing duo dealt with problems all day and they could not over come them; Tony Stewart and Chris Buscher were fairly quiet in the first round and just did not have the speed. However, they still have a shot to finish as high as fifth in the points after Homestead. Heading into Round 2, the favorite has to be Martin Truex Jr., how won 2 out of the 3 races and had the best average finish of the group. Kevin Harvick won 1 race, and that win is probably what kept him alive; he cannot repeat that in round 2 – he must find speed.
