Team & Manufacturer Statistics

Heading into the longest race of the season, the Coca-Cola 600 not only requires great cars, but great personal strength as well. This track has taken its toll of the mightiest of drivers. Chevrolet has found their way to Victory Lane quite a bit, something Ford would like to see happen for a change. And with the way their season is going, it is not out of the question for Ford to find one of their own in Victory Lane.

Coca-Cola 600 Predictions & Analysis

Martin Truex Jr. dominated this race last year, leading all but 8 laps. With the addition of another stage, therefore, making the Coca-Cola 600 4-100 lap heat races, will that change how teams battle on track? Will conditioning of the driver be as important with the stages has it has been in the past? Will we see another race where once the leader is checked out, they are out there until a caution flies? If so, we are guaranteed at least 3 caution flags during this race.

What better way to combine 2 of my favorite things, NASCAR and statistics, than providing y'all with an analytical report each weekend during the NASCAR season.

When I am not crunching the numbers, I spend time with my hubby, 3 black cats (Ninja, Daytona, and Chronos), and I watch too much TV, especially Doctor Who. Why yes, I am a geek and proud! So join forces with me and follow my weekly Crunching The Numbers segment. Who knows, I may surprise you!
