What is The Podium Finish?

The Podium Finish (TPF) is the culmination of one man’s dream from a bout of homesickness.  By the same token, TPF is a one-stop hub for feature stories, interviews, and analysis about NASCAR.

In summary, TPF focuses on the icons of stock car racing by profiling racers, crew members, and personalities.

Our mission vision is to be an alternative news source with aspiring writers with a passion for NASCAR racing. For this reason, our coverage focuses on the trendsetters of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, XFINITY Series, and the Camping World Truck Series.

Simply put, TPF  aims to deliver stories by bringing the subject to our audience.  Over the years, the TPF team evolved from a grassroots media outlet to a growing, regular fixture at national NASCAR events.

Initially, TPF was established by motorsports journalist Rob Tiongson in 2010 in the Philippines. Additionally, Tiongson complimented TPF’s coverage with a bi-weekly podcast from 2010-’14 featuring co-hosts Kerstin Lewis and Emma Blaney.

On the other hand, Tiongson realized his vision could strengthen by returning to the U.S.  As a result, Tiongson moved back to the Boston area in 2011 to network with racers and recruit new writers.

Today, TPF has grown from a one man operation to a team of 12 writers and four photographers. Ultimately, the team strives with delivering original content focusing on the racers, personalities, and venues of NASCAR racing.
