PORT ROYAL, Pa. — From March to October, the 0.5-mile Port Royal Speedway is a haven of speed and thrills, dirt track style. From sprint cars to dirt late models, this historical venue, opened in 1938, has ushered in some of the greatest racers in the dirt track scene.
Names like Larry “Smokey” Snellbaker, Keith Kauffman, Lance Dewease, Todd Shaffer, Logan Wagner, Mitch Smith, Dave Blaney and Donny Schatz have emerged victorious at this venerable facility. On Saturday June 15, the USAC Eastern Blast rocked racing fans with USAC National Sprint Cars, USAC Silver Crown and Weikert Livestock 410 Sprints.
