Grant Enfinger
Thor sport Racing has been a leading force in the Gander Outdoors truck Series in 2019, and once again, they will lead the field to green. This Time, it will be Grant Enfinger in the No. 98 Champion Power Equipment Ford F-150. Enfinger has a best finish of 2nd this season and looking for his first win since September of 2018 at Las Vegas. Enfinger said, even though he’s sitting on the pole, he doesn’t believe this is his best opportunity for a win. “I feel like we’ve had three or four good opportunities for a win, but they’ve just slipped through our fingers.
Traction Compound
Enfinger was one of only a couple of drivers that was able to negotiate the bottom lanes of turns one and two. Drivers seemed to struggle with loose trucks on the botton as the PJ1 traction compound has been applied at kentucky. Enfinger was asked about the PJ1 getting activated and how the trucks are handling. “I believe the conditions are going to change this evening, and this PJ1 should get activated quickly.”
The warm temperatures throughout the afternoon at Kentucky speedway has made for very slick conditions and without much on track activity, it’s been a handful. In fact, some drivers had said it’s like driving on “snot”. Hopefully, no one is dealing with that, but as the trucks ran, and two Xfinity series practices have gone on prior to the Buckle Up In Your Truck 225. The PJ1 should give these truck series drivers plenty of options to pass.
So, as Grant Enfinger will lead the field to green alongside the young Sheldon Creed, Enfinger is confident in his Thor Sport Racing team, and even more confident that he’ll reach victory lane a couple times before we wave the checkers on the 2019 season.
With a fast truck and expected multiple lanes of race at Kentucky, Enfinger could finally see that first checkered flag tonight.
