CONCORD, N.C. — Following a frustrating defeat at North Wilkesboro Speedway one week ago, Corey Heim answered back and won the NC Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in dominating fashion.

Heim swept the stages, leading 98 of the 134 laps on the way to his fourth victory of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season and scoring a maximum points day with 61, including the point for the Xfinity Fastest Lap.

“I felt like we’ve had the speed the last couple of years here, but circumstances haven’t let us get it done,” Heim said following the race. “Obviously, it was such a good truck. I had to execute on my part. The pit crew did a great job. Just a really nice clean day, it feels great.”

With a perfect points day for Heim, he extended his lead in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver standings to 100 points over the second-place driver, Chandler Smith. He was also able to capitalize and stay out of harm’s way to capture the checkered flag, which had evaded the No. 11 team for multiple weeks throughout the season despite leading the series in wins.

“It feels like we’ve had a lot of opportunities to do that this year, really,” said Heim. “Just can’t say enough about these guys. My team gave me a great Tundra, and we just really checked all of the boxes tonight.”

Finishing behind Heim was the Niece Motorsports duo of Ross Chastain and Kaden Honeycutt, placing in second and third, respectively. For Honeycutt, the third-place finish was a career best and Chastain’s second place finish was what he called “best in class” with Heim’s dominance during the race.

“Best in class,” Chastain said of his performance during the race. “The (No.) 11 (Heim) is the best in the field right now, and none of us had anything for him. The (No.) 7 (Kyle Busch), the (No.) 38 (Smith), the (No.) 34 (Layne Riggs), it was a heck of a race back there between us, but we’ve got to make it last longer.”

Matt Mills also had a strong showing for the Niece Motorsports stable, scoring his best finish of the season with a seventh-place result.

Rounding out the top five were Riggs and Busch and finishing inside the top 10 were Grant Enfinger, Mills, Daniel Hemric, Rajah Caruth and Brandon Jones.

The next round for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be at Nashville Superspeedway next Friday, May 30, at 8:00 p.m. EST on FS1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
