LEBANON, Tenn. — Justin Allgaier won the Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday night for his third win of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season and second career win at Nashville.

In total, Allgaier led a race-high 101 of 188 laps and scored the maximum number of points on the day, sweeping both stages and earning the Xfinity Fastest Lap bonus point on top of the win. Even with that, it was not smooth sailing to the checkered flag, as JR Motorsports teammate Connor Zilisch kept Allgaier in his sights for the entirety of the final run.

“These guys right here, they deserve this one more than anything,” Allgaier said of his No. 7 team. “I screwed them over last week (Charlotte Motor Speedway) by making a pit call with an equally as good car. Ashley (Allgaier’s wife) and the kids are here, and it’s so cool to get a win here at Nashville. This place is special to me.”

On the final restart of the race, Allgaier lined up in the bottom lane of Row 2 and made a daring three-wide pass to take the lead underneath Brandon Jones and Zilisch, helping him secure the win.

“On that restart, I knew that the (No.) 20 (Jones) had old tires and I wasn’t sure how good it was going to launch,” said Allgaier. “I knew at the start/finish line we had to be able to get to his inside, and then just obviously having clean air being out front. Raced a lot of fun with Connor there and I knew whichever of the two of us got out front was going to be the difference maker. Ultimately, it was us.”

After leading 18 laps, Zilisch scored his second consecutive second-place finish and scored 44 points. When the final caution flew when William Sawalich spun out while battling Sammy Smith, Zilisch was leading, but the restart allowed Allgaier to take the lead and never give it back.

“I thought I might be able to get back by him, but clean air is everything and the first 20 laps of a run, if you had clean air, you’d prevail on a long run, just keeping your stuff cooler and not having to run as hard,” Zilisch said. “It’s the second week in a row I’ve finished second because of a restart. It’s frustrating. I’m really happy with the progress we’re making and being frustrated with second (place finish) is a good thing.”

Haas Factory Team teammates, Sam Mayer and Sheldon Creed finished third and fourth, with Ross Chastain rounding out the top five in fifth place. Finishing inside the top 10 were Aric Almirola, Austin Hill, Jesse Love, Carson Kvapil and Smith.

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Chilango 150 at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City on Saturday, June 14 at 4:30 p.m. EST on The CW, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
