Much like the advent of cryptocurrency, Landon Cassill is noticing his stock on the rise after a solid Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway.

After a rough start to the season at Daytona (14th) and Fontana (38th due to an engine issue), Cassill has tallied two top fives and four top 10 results in the past six races.

The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native has jumped from his season low ranking of 26th to 12th heading into Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300.

Moreover, the 32-year-old racer entered round nine of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series with a genuine shot at his first career win. Cassill was in the mix during the season opener at Daytona, a testament to his adept superspeedway skills.

Starting sixth, the driver of the No. 10 Voyager Crypto Debit Card Chevrolet Camaro, fielded by Kaulig Racing, tallied a strong fourth in stage 1 before placing 24th in the stage 2.

With the patience, calm and collectiveness prevalent within a veteran racer, Cassill kept out of harm’s way on multiple occasions, methodically driving his way up the leaderboard and into the top 10 in the final laps.

When all was said and done at Talladega, Cassill earned a strong fifth place result. Cassill earned his third top five and fifth top 10 finish of the season, boosting him to 11th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings.

Without a doubt, Cassill and crew chief Jason Trinchere are firing off on all cylinders with the first quarter of the Xfinity season in the books. As this new combination continually coalesce, it’s safe to say that Cassill is enjoying the ride.

“Super happy with our finish and our momentum right now,” Cassill said. “We’re doing all the right things right now and just need to keep it up. Kaulig Racing is giving me everything I need!”

Although Cassill has yet to lead a lap with his No. 10 team, he hopes to change this when he and his peers take on Saturday’s A-Game 200 at Dover Motor Speedway.

In his 13 prior starts at “The Monster Mile,” he has six top 20 finishes including a respectable 14th place finish showing during the spring 2014 race.

Above all else, Cassill hopes to be in the mix during Saturday’s race. As one of four drivers vying for the Dash 4 Cash bonus, competing against Noah Gragson, AJ Allmendinger and Ryan Sieg, a $100,000 bonus certainly incentivizes the situation for this formidable quartet.

Ultimately, while he’s keeping tabs of his parking pass, aside from the bonus, the competitive but kindhearted driver aims for another top-five finish for more Shirley Temples with his kids.

Considering all the incentives surrounding Cassill and his No. 10 team, it won’t take much motivation to see the 13 year Xfinity racer giving it all to kick off the second quarter of the Xfinity Series season.
