In 2011, Kentucky Speedway went green. No, it was not with envy. Instead, it was with Quaker State motor oil.
Over the last six years, Quaker State’s relationship with Kentucky Speedway has delivered on a yearly basis.
Patty Lanning, Vice President of Marketing for North America Shell Lubricants, observed how the partnership resulted in a tremendous visibility for the company.
“It’s given great experiences to the customers and races,” she said.
Furthemore, the partnership with Quaker State transcends with Speedway Motorsports Incorporated (SMI) and its motorsports properties.
Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger observed Quaker State as an iconic brand and a premier partner when talking about the extension lasting through the 2022 season.
“We treasure our relationship with Quaker State,” he said. “We are proud of what we have built over the last six years.”
Fans at Kentucky Speedway can partake with the following activities from Quaker State:
- While supplies last, fans will receive a Quaker State green rally towel.
- A Quaker State display area featuring Tommy Pike of Tommy Pike Customs, who will host an oil change demonstration. Low Rider Magazine will also be on site.
- Advance Auto Parts will feature of a 1967 Camaro RS in restoration mode.
- Fishing League Worldwide Pro-Anglers Jimmy Houston, Matt Arey, and Scott Canterbury will cast for an interactive fishing clinic.
- From now through August 9, 2017, fans can enter to win prizes including the #LikeABoss 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS built by Tommy Pike Customs.
- A Quaker State 400 photo display will also be at the track.
